Hi, I’m Mona, an eLearning Developer, Instructional Designer and German Translator Based In France
Scenario-based Language Course - Storyline 360
This e-learning prototype was created for a language school in Paris, France, teaching French professionals intermediate-level Business English in individual face-to-face lessons. By selling some of its most popular learning modules online through its LMS, the client's goal was to grow its customer base by 10%.
ADDIE, task and process analysis, training needs analysis, Action Mapping, storyboarding, storytelling, Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AI voice generation
The client decided on a bespoke e-learning solution in the form of a scenario-based, interactive Articulate Storyline 360 course. The learner chooses a negotiator avatar who goes through the different phases of a realistic negotiation situation. The course can be accessed in a flexible, non-linear way, allowing time-poor learners to quickly jump to the negotiation phase and micro-lesson they wish to focus on. Each negotiation phase contains a series of short dialogues ending with the learner having to make a choice. This quick knowledge check allows learners to get immediate feedback on their progress in a safe, yet realistic environment.Ā
Instructional Video - Scrum Project Management
For this concept project, the audience is a mid-sized software company seeking to transition their development team as well as future hires from traditional to agile project management using the Scrum methodology.Ā
Training Needs Analysis, Learner Persona Development, Task Analysis, Scripting, Storyboarding, PowerPoint, Adobe Premiere, AI voice generation with Murf AI
The proposed solution is a training video teaching the fundamentals of Scrum. This video course is to be watched before participants attend an instructor-led course on the same subject in a flipped-classroom scenario. It incorporates a quiz-like knowledge check and a gamified exercise, fostering hands-onĀ experience.
Participant Workbook - Scrum Project Management
Within the same concept project, the goal was to ensure all team members would apply the new skills on the job long term. They needed a way to quickly look up the essential information of the Scrum course during and after a live, instructor-led course on the same subject.
Training Needs Analysis, PowerPoint
The proposed solution is a participant workbook in PDF format to be used as a course companion and after-course reference. The workbook includes the essential teachings of the course and various practice activities in order for participants to apply the lessons learned and deepen their understanding.
Together with you and your team, I pinpoint what is behind your company's current performance issue and where you want it to be instead. Using tools such as learner personas, task analysis, design thinking, action mapping and the latest in applied adult learning theory, I will carve out an elearning strategy that best achieves your business goals.
In the design phase, we decide on the format (custom, template, animation, video), the user interface, storytelling arc and media assets (photos, animations, characters) to include. Aligned with your brand identity, I apply modern UI/UX principles to set the course's tone, look and feel. Through iterative design, I make sure, the end product meets your expectations. The solution is now ready for development.
To bring your learning experience to life, I use industry-standard tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe PremierePro, Illustrator, Camtasia and AI-tools - depending on whether the chosen eLearning solution is an explainer video, a workbook or a Scorm-compliant module for your LMS. The result is a fully accessible, inclusive learning solution ready to be implemented in your digital environment.
When rolling out your training internationally, you need to maintain cultural appropriateness and appeal. As a state-certified translator and native German speaker, I localize your training content from English or French into German. For other European languages I can refer you to a network of experienced language experts who can help you expand your audience.
I'm Mona Sleem-Amer, an instructional designer, eLearning developer and German translator based in France, with a diverse background in information management, web development, language engineering and translation.
I build engaging and innovative digital learning solutions for businesses and organizations in the private, public and non-profit sector. As a certified translator for German I localize your e-learning content for the German market if needed.
Starting with analyzing your current situation and objectives to figure out the best way to reach these goals. Once a learning strategy is agreed upon, a prototype of the solution is built and tested. Frequent feedback on your part ensures that the end result will turn out exactly right for you. The final solution is then delivered to you, ready to deploy on your LMS or other digital environment.
I take on new projects that could benefit from my skills in eLearning development, instructional design and learning experience design.
